Lost Romance will be taking part in the annual Ghost Of Uncle Joe’s benefit in Jersey City, NJ. The annual fundraiser for the The Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery features local musicians dressed and performing as other artists and is organized by The Rock-it Docket. This year Lost Romance will be performing as The Smithereens for the afterparty at LITM in Jersey City on Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at 10PM. Other bands to be covered that night are Lovin’ Spoonful, Heart and ZZ Top.

9/24/14 – New Brunswick, NJ’s alt-rock trio Lost Romance has been chosen to participate in this year’s CBGB Music & Film Festival in New York City. As part of a showcase curated by music website ReverbNation, Lost Romance was chosen from thousands of artists as the best of the best on the website.

The ReverbNation showcase will take place at The Pyramid Club (located at 101 Avenue A #1, New York, NY 10009) on Friday, October 10th, 2014 at 10PM on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The Pyramid Club has a rock n’ roll history that goes back the 80’s and is still part of the vibrant music scene on the Lower East Side today.

The CBGB Festival is named after the infamous birthplace of punk rock, CBGB’s OMFUG located on 315 Bowery on the Lower East Side of New York City. Although the venue does not exist, its spirit lives on through the festival which features keynote speakers, live performances and music inspired films from that era to modern day. This year’s performance will take place at The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ on Saturday, January 18th, 2014. LR will kick off a night of rock at the legendary venue that is part of a 4 day event to benefit Light Of Day Foundation. Now in it’s 14th year, Light Of Day puts the spotlight on the Asbury Park music scene while raising money to help find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease. New Brunswick, NJ-based trio Lost Romance is set to release its debut studio album, The Light And The Dark, on September 17, 2013, via Los Angeles based Starving Dog Records.

The trio’s debut is a tight blend of the old and the new. With nods to alternative rock and power pop originators like Husker Du and The Replacements, early Goo Goo Dolls, The Lemonheads and Buffalo Tom, the band fuses together these influences with a modern flavor all their own. This uniquely American pop/rock formula brings to mind new bands like fellow New Brunswick native sons, The Gaslight Anthem as well as old faves, The Smithereens. Keeping with the New Jersey tradition of edgy guitars and great pop melodies, this album is sure to make a splash with rock n’ roll purists and hipsters alike.

The band features Gerry Perlinski (vocals, guitar), Alexander Paul (bass, vocals), and Amine Smires (drums, vocals). “We made sure not to overdo anything on this record’, says Perlinski, “It’s just guitar, bass, drums and vocals. No fancy studio wizardry and certainly no bullshit. Rock ‘n roll the way God intended… pure and from the heart.” The album was mixed and mastered by producer David Pattillo (Robert Plant, The Hold Steady, The National) on the Lower East Side at Flow NY.

Prior to this album, Lost Romance released a free live album recorded at Boston’s Great Scott in 2012 on it’s Bandcamp page. In late 2012, a live version of their song, “Top Of The World” was part of a Hurricane Sandy Benefit Compilation, “Hey Sandy, We’re Still Here” that featured fellow New Jersey indie rockers like Real Estate, The Front Bottoms and Nicole Atkins.

Lost Romance is planning a private invite-only listening party for September and live shows are also being set in support of the forthcoming album, with the following dates already confirmed:
