Forget about South By South West, this year Lost Romance is hitting the couch. Couch By Couch West that is… With gas prices at an all time high and the hype of SXSW out of control, we’ve chosen to take things to the people. Filmed on location in New Jersey, our drummer couldn’t fit inside our condo for the shoot. So we made him play on the back deck with the pine trees. Can you smell ’em?

Lost Romance will be on the road in March hitting both Boston and Portland, ME. They will be opening for Stephie Coplan & The Pedestrians at Great Scott in the Allston area of Boston,MA. Her recent single “Jerk!” has been getting great airplay and video play notably in the Boston area. Expect a sold out crowd there on March 24th. Lost Romance will also be at Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge located in Portland, ME. on March 23rd for their debut at this hip, artist friendly venue.

You can still BUY TICKETS for the March 24th Great Scott show now!

New Jersey’s Lost Romance will be participating in this year’s Light Of Day Benefit 2012. Lead singer Gerry Perlinski performed solo acoustic at last year’s event, but will be back with the full band this time around.

As last year, Light Of Day board member Rob Dye will be hosting the Friday night event at Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ. The earlier part of the night will be a more casual open mic. Lost Romance will be a featured performer after the open mic concludes after 10pm with a full band electric set.

Here are the details of the event:

Hot on the heels of their blowout performance at this year’s Bang This! CMJ, New Jersey’s Lost Romance has been nominated for a 2011 Hoboken Music Award for Outstanding E.P. for their debut “The Light And The Dark” (Starving Dog Records).

Lost Romance is no stranger to the Hobey’s since lead singer/guitarist, Gerry Perlinski was nominated for Outstanding Male Solo during the 2010 HMA’s. Back with an electric band and penchant for full out rock anthems, Gerry’s hoping to grab some of that Hoboken limelight this time around.

About the HMAs:
The Hoboken Music Awards were started in 2009 by Dave Entwistle. Entwistle is the long-time host of the Peoples Open Mic, a weekly showcase for local artists in town. The concept of the awards was to honor those artists and the people who help promote the music scene in and around the Hoboken area. The inaugural event, held at the now defunct Goldhawk, was a huge success. 2010′s HMAs nearly burst the walls of Northern Soul. This year’s event, planned with the help of local writer Stephen Bailey, is happy to call Maxwell’s its home.
